I have been practicing yoga since 1999 and teaching since 2003 when I became a RYT200 certified Yoga Teacher at Its Yoga in San Francisco. Initially practicing and teaching Ashtanga I slowly moved towards other styles of yoga.
I still incorporate the principles of breath initiated movement in to a Vinyasa Flow, whereby the asanas (poses) are linked through the breath to create a strong and dynamic practice but with sequences that concentrate and build upon opening different elements within the body each week. The sequences are always different and close awareness is brought to alignment to ensure a safe, strong and accurate flowing practice.
I continuously advance my own practice and teachings with workshops and trainings in London and all over the world with many wonderful teachers, including Shiva Rea, Max Strom, Donna Fahri, Cyndi Lee and Annie Carpenter. I value enormously and give thanks for the guidance of my teachers who have inspired my own teachings and principally to my Iyengar teachers who ensure I stay in line!
In 2008 I completed my Foundation at The Yoga Therapy Centre so that I could begin to develop my knowledge and understanding of how to work with people and Yoga therapeutically. I taught in London privately before moving to Dubai in 2005 where I continued to teach privates, small groups and at the two main Yoga studios in Dubai, Club Stretch and Zen Yoga.
I have also extensively trained in Pregnancy Yoga initially in 2005 with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa founder of Golden Bridge in Los Angeles and the following year with Uma Dinesmore-Tuli of the Sitaram Partnership at The Life Centre. As well as having three beautiful daughters. In 2006 I qualified to teach Baby Om techniques in my Mother & Baby classes following training in Postnatal Yoga with Sarah Perron and Laura Staton, cofounders and authors of Baby Om in New York.
I now teach in and around Winchester.
